Korelasi Antara Perilaku Sedentari Dengan Tekanan Darah Pasien Hipertensi Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Hypertension is an important global health problem. In 2004 the World Health Organization established that physical activity is a modifiable strategy to overcome hypertension. In 2013 the Riskesdas estimates that the proportion of sedentary behaviour in Riau was 36,1%. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlation between sedentary behaviour and blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province. This study used cross sectional analytic approach. The samples were taken by using consecutive sampling technique with 72 respondents. Sedentary behaviour was obtained by filling the PACE-Sedentary Behaviour Questionnaire. For blood pressure data was obtained using medical records. The result showed that the most respondents were 65-74 years old (38,9%), of female gender (52,8%), senior high school graduated (41,7%) and unemployed (37,5%). As many as 64 respondents (88,9%) had over 15 hour/week of sedentary behaviour. Most hypertensive respondents (59,7%) had uncontrolled blood pressure. Spearman rank test showed the result p=0,357. It could be concluded that there was no correlation between sedentary behaviour and blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province.
