Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa Berbasis Konstruktivisme Pada Materi Asam Karboksilat Dan Turunannya Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Self Efficacy Mahasiswa
The objectives of this study are: (1) to develop constructivism-based student worksheets on material of Carboxylic Acid and its derivates, (2) to acknowledge the feasibility of constructivism-based student worksheets on material of Carboxylic Acid and its derivates according to expert validators based on didactic aspects, constructs (presentation and linguistic aspects), technical, and characteristics of constructivism, (3) to look at characteristics of practicality and attractiveness of constructivism-based student worksheets on material of Carboxylic Acid and its derivates according to lecturers and students, (4) to know the enhancement in students’ critical thinking ability and self-efficacy through constructivism-based student worksheets on material of Carboxylic Acid and its derivates trial. This study uses Borg and Gall development model, in which, producing constructivism-based student worksheets to enhance students’ critical thinking ability and self-efficacy.
The results show that: (1) In the process of developing constructivism-based student worksheets using the Borg and Gall development model, it is discovered that the average value of initial validation is 76.87% (quite valid-category) and average value of 95.78% (valid-category) in second revision. (2) The developed constructivism-based student worksheets are valid to be used based on an average value of 96.42% in didactic aspect, 97.92% in the aspect of feasibility of presentation, 96.67% in language feasibility aspect, 89.58% in technical aspect, and 98.33% in constructivism aspect. The characteristics of lecturers’ practicality and students’ interest are 87.22% and 88.63%, both in the good-category. Students’ critical thinking ability is discovered to be increasing based on the average value of 15.61% (low-category) in pre-test, to 62.33% (good-category). Similarly, students’ self-efficacy is discovered to be increasing based on the value of 73.51% (high-category) in pretest to 84.20% (very high-category). The indicator of generality with the value of 75.70% (high-category) in pretest to 83.35% (very high-category) and the indicator of strength with the value of 75.25% (high-category) in pretest to 85.20% (very-high category).
