Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) Berbasis Konstruktivisme Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Belajar Mahasiswa Pada Materi Reaksi Radikal Bebas Kimia Organik II
The purpose of this research: (1) Developing student worksheet based on constructivim in free radical reaction lesson, (2) Knowing feasibility of student worksheet based on constructivism that is developed in free radical reaction lessonl based on expert validation, students, and lecturer respons, and (3) Knowing the improvement of students’ problem solving ability after the application of student worksheet based on constructivism. Constructivism is a learning approach that is used for developing self comprehension actively, creatively, and productively based on the first knowledge and studying experience that has a meaning. This research was using 4D model that has four steps, among others Define, Desine, Develop, and Disseminate. The technique of data collection in this research was using validation of student worksheet by validator, lecturer’s questionnaire response and from students. The application of student worksheet is applied at chemistry education University of Riau. The subjects of this research was students in fourth semester in one class that is consist of 37 students that was devided based on cognitive category, low, medium, and high.
Based on the results of the research, it was get: (1) The research was succees in developing student worksheet based on constructivism that was consist of 3 pieces of student worksheets in free radical reaction lesson. (2) Student worksheet based on constructivism in free radical reaction lesson is proper to used as learning material based on expert validation, lecturer’s, and students response with the percentage 95,05%, 87,22%, and 84,02%, and (3) student worksheet based on constructivism in free radical reaction lesson can be improving problem solving ability seen from the results of paired sample t-tes with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05 and there is no difference of the average results of problem solving ability between high, medium, and low groups as evidence by anova one way test with significant 0,915 ˃ 0,05.
