Insidensi Dan Gambaran Pasien Dengan Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (Vap) Yang Dirawat Di Ruang Icu Dan Cvcu Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) is the common complication occurred in mechanically ventilated patients in intensive care unit. VAP is defined as pneumonia occurs in 48 hours or more after using mechanical ventilator. The aim of this study was to identify the incidence and description of VAP in mechanically ventilated patients who were treated in ICU and CVCU Arifin Achmad General Hospital of Riau province. This study was a descriptive-prospective study. The sampling technique used was the consecutive sampling method on February – May 2019. The results showed that the incidence of VAP was 3 patients of the total 30 patients. VAP mostly occurred in patients that had post op craniotomy (66,67%), late onset (100%), leukocytosis (66,67%), febrile (66,67%), and caused by gram negative bacterias (100%) such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia and Acinetobacter baumannii.
