Analisis Kemiskinan Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to find out how the poverty depth index (P1), poverty severity index (P2) and how poverty trends in Pekanbaru City. This research is expected to be useful as an information material for readers and reference material for interested parties.
The type of data used in this study is secondary data. And by using descriptive analysis method. The variables in this study were the number of poor people, poverty depth index (P1) and poverty severity index (P2). From the results of the research that has been done, it was found that 1) Pekanbaru City is one of the cities with the lowest number of poor people in Riau Province. The number of poor people in Pekanbaru City is volatile and tends to decrease in recent years. The projection of the number of poor people in Pekanbaru City from 2018-2027 increases regularly in each year. 2) The Poverty Depth Index (P1) is volatile and the gap between the population below the poverty line is not far adrift. 3) The distance between the Poverty Severity Index (P2) and the Poverty Depth Index (P1) is not far away which shows the distribution of income distribution among the poor population is evenly distributed.
