Pengaruh Pertumbuhan Ekononomi Dan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Terhadap Kemiskinan DiProvinsi Riau

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth and the human development index on poverty in Riau Province. The data used is secondary data that has Time Series effectiveness from 2007-2017 and is sourced from The Statistical Center (BPS) of Pekanbaru City.
This research uses a type of quantitative research with multiple linear analysis methods and uses SPSS 23.0 analysis tools. In this model the independent variables used are economic growth and the human development index. While the dependent variable is poverty.
The results showed that economic growth had an effect on poverty in Riau Province. From the equation it is known that economic growth shows a coefficient of 0.197, meaning that if there is a 1% increase, it will increase poverty by 0.197% in Riau Province. From the equation it is known that the human development index variable shows a coefficient of 0.343 which means that if there is an increase in the increase in the human development index by 1%, it will increase poverty by 0.343%.Keywords: Economic Growth, Human Development Index, Poverty.
