This study aims to determine the export competitiveness of Riau Province shell charcoal commodity and the effect of exchange rates and prices on the export of shell charcoal in Riau Province. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Riau Provincial Statistics Agency, Riau Province Industry and Trade Agency, and Bank Indonesia. This research was conducted in Riau Province in the period 2007 to 2016.
This study uses quantitative research methods, using Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis techniques to determine export competitiveness and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 24 computer application program to examine the influence of factors that affect exports. This study consists of two independent variables (United States Dollar and price) and one dependent variable (export).
The results obtained based on RCA calculations on coconut shell charcoal in Riau Province obtained RCA results
