Strategi Pengembangan Agrowisata Di Kota Pekanbaru

This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the development of Agro-tourism areas in Pekanbaru City and formulate appropriate strategies in developing Agro-tourism areas in Pekanbaru City. The location of this research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru.
This study uses secondary data, data taken from the Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Office and primary data obtained through questionnaire data collection techniques conducted by researchers with respondents (key informants). The analytical method used is the SWOT analysis.
The results of the study concluded that the right strategy in developing agro-tourism in Pekanbaru City is SO by optimizing the power to take advantage of existing opportunities, through several strategies that can be implemented, namely: (1) developing agro-tourism potentials such as providing educational programs in agriculture affordable tickets to become local content for school children; (2) improve clean and comfortable agro-tourism environment in agro-tourism areas and provide good services / manners to visitors who come to become a tourist destination for the community on weekends; (3) improving adequate facilities so that it becomes an alternative entertainment for the community.
