The development of the Pelalawan Technopolitan Region launched by the Pelalawan District Government is in Langgam Subdistrict, the purpose of the Pelalawan Technopolitan Region development plan is to improve the welfare of the community but often the community is not ready to utilize existing policies due to a lack of government efforts to publicize the process This Pelalawan Technopolitan Region. So that causes the community to feel alienated from the development plan process. The Pelalawan Technopolitan Region Development Plan will certainly have an impact on the socio-economic life of the local community.
This study aims to determine the level of socio-economic readiness of the community in facing opportunities, changes and benefits that will be faced with the planned development of the Pelalawan Technopolitan Region in their environment so that the development plan can improve the welfare of the community in Langgam District.
The results showed that judging from the knowledge and attitude factors, the Langgam Subdistrict people were ready to accept if their territory was determined by the government as the Pelalawan Technopolitan Region development plan area, but seen from the response factors showed that the community was still unprepared, because there were still many people from the questionnaire who have never been involved in the development of the Pelalawan Technopolitan Region and there are still many people who have never attended training in developing capabilities in the industrial field. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out socialization efforts by the government that explain aspects of opportunities and benefits, as well as holding capacity training in the industrial sector, in order to fulfill community preparedness in utilizing the development plan of the Pelalawan Teknopolitan Region.
