Analisis Sektor Unggulan Dalam Perekonomian Daerah Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu Tahun 2013-2017

The purpose of this study is to find out the superior (base) and non-base sectors and to
find out the role of the base sector and non-base sectors on the economic growth in Indragiri
Hulu Regency area. In this research the independent variable is the superior sector (base) (X) and
the dependent variable is regional economic growth (Y). This study uses the Locatoin
Quetien (LQ) method. And from the results of this research, it can be seen that the base
and non-base sectors in Indragiri Hulu Regency are From the calculation of LQ during
the analysis period (2013-2017), there are eleven basic sectors and there are six nonbaseline
sectors. Based on data from the Indragiri Hulu Regency and the Riau Province
GRDP at the 2010 Constant Prices based on 2013-2017, calculations can be made
using the Location Quotient (LQ) method to obtain the comparative advantage of
Indragiri Hulu Regency and compared to the Riau Province economy. In the same way,
the economy of Riau Province will be known as a base or non-base sector or activity.
And the role of the base sector and non-base sector towards the regional economy in
Indragiri Hulu Regency is that the base sector has a strong influence on the economy in Indragiri
Hulu Regency. Similarly, the non-base sector has a good influence as well as economists in
Indragiri Hulu Regency. So that together the base sector and the non-base sector greatly provide
a good role in the reconstruction of Indragiri Hulu Regency. This means that if the base sector
and the non-base sector are increased, it will affect the increase in the growth and economy of
Indragiri Hulu Regency.
