Riau Province is one of the centers of areca production in Indonesia. Riau has enormous potential to increase exports of areca nut commodities, this potential can be seen from the large number of areca palm production in Riau Province.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the competitiveness of Riau Province's areca nut exports in Indonesia and the factors that influence Riau areca palm exports. This research uses "time-series" secondary data from 2007 to 2017 using the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis method and the analysis of Multiple Linear Regression using the SPSS Version 20 program.
