Uji Sensitivitas Nyamuk Aedes Aegypti Terhadap Malathion Di Kelurahan Labuh Baru Timur Kecamatan Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an important health issue, especially in Indonesia. Labuh Baru Timur village that is located in Payung Sekaki sub-district, Pekanbaru city is one of the regions with high number of DHF cases in the past few years. One of the methods that can be used is to use organophosphate type insecticide, which is malathion, through fogging. The use of malathion insecticide in a long term with high frequency in Labuh Baru Timur is one of the factor that the area becoming resistance. This research is done to see the vulnerability status of Aedes aegypti mosquitos towards 5% malathion in Labuh Baru Timur Payung Sekaki. This study has been done in April to June 2019. The design of this study was descriptive with cross-sectional approach. Number of sample used was 100 Aedes aegypti mosquitos that was developed from larva filtering, both macro and microscopically. The study showed that Aedes aegypti mosquitos in Labuh Baru Timur Payung Sekaki has been resistant to 5% malathion.
