Identifikasi Bakteri Dan Uji Sensitivitas Terhadap Antibiotika Meropenem Pada Pasien Dengan Kateterisasi Urin Di Ruang Icu Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Mei – Juli 2018
The use of indwelling urinary catheter is commonly done in ICU, this causes a high number of bacteriuria in ICU. Bacteriuria with colonies >105cfu/ml which is the gold standard for the diagnosis of catheter-related UTIs (CAUTI). This is mostly caused by pathogenic bacteria in the urine which is need to be investigated for sensitivity to meropenem. The aim of the study was to determine bacterial identification and sensitivity testing for meropenem antibiotics in patients with urinary catheterization in ICU of Arifin Achmad The Riau Province Regional General Hospital in 2018 with descriptive method of prospective approach. The sample used was urine of inpatients in ICU of Arifin Achmad The Riau Province Regional General Hospital in May-July 2018 who used a urine catheter for at least 48 hours. This study found that the most bacterial results found in urine were Gram-negative bacteria, namely E.coli (36.36%) and Klebsiella sp. (18.18%). While Gram-positive bacteria are only Coagulase Negative Staphylococci (45.45%). The bacterial isolate that has the highest sensitivity to meropenem is Coagulase Negative Staphylococci and the lowest sensitivity is Klebsiella sp. Meropenem can be used as an alternative therapy for patients with urinary catheterization in the ICU. Keyword : Bacteriuria, Urinary catheterization, Meropenem, ICU
