Gambaran Hasil Bta Sputum Pada Tahanan Di Rutan Kelas Ii B Sialang Bungkuk Pekanbaru Yang Mengalami Keluhan Respirasi
Tuberculosis is a health issue in Indonesia due to its high prevalence, especially in developing countries. Sialang Bungkuk Class IIB prison in Pekanbaru has the capacity of ± 1800 inmates, it also has 96 rooms with different capacities and sizes. Prisons have a high prevalence of Tuberculosis, due to the occupancy density and inmates lifestyle. This study aims to determine the characteristics of inmates who are experiencing respiratory complaints and to describe the Acid Fast Bacilli (AFB) sputum result on inmates with respiratory complaints. Sample used in this research is the sputum of 31 inmates, with Zeihl Neelsen coloring method. The result of the study showed that among 31 samples taken, there were 3 samples (9,6%) with positive AFB sputum. While 28 samples (90,32%) with negative AFB sputum. It also showed that inmates with positive AFB sputum were in productive age (15-49 years old)
