Analisis Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Di SDN 37 Pekanbaru
Character education is very necessary at school because character education can improve the quality character of present and future generations. School as a formal education forum which is a place for students to be active longer than other environments, play an important role in shaping the character's, attitudes, and behavior of students. Caring for the environment is one of the character values that is expected to form in students in the education process. The purpose of this study was to determine students' environmental care attitudes. Research method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Results five indicators of environmental care attitudes that have been seen and often applied by students are cleaning trash and cleaning the school environment while indicators of beautifying classrooms and schools with plants have never been done by students and indicators of maintaining plants at school and participating in maintaining environmental hygiene are still rare or less applied by students in behaving towards the environment at school. It can be concluded that the attitude of caring for the environment has not been fully applied by students at public elementary school 37 Pekanbaru.
