ABSTRAKSI

The agricultural sector is a sector that has a very important role in the economy in most developing countries including one of them in the country of Indonesia is one of the developing countries. Agricultural development needs to get better attention because the agricultural sector can have the ability to generate increased income, especially for rice farmers in Keritang Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency, one of the districts that produces the largest paddy production among twelve districts in Riau Province. The primary data used in this study is data collected through direct interviews with related respondents. Secondary data in this study were obtained from the Provincial BPS, District BPS and Keritang Sub-District Office. The data analysis method used in this study is the Anova OneWay test. The results of the study stated that the area of land has a positive and significant effect on the income of rice farmers in Keritang Subdistrict, working capital has a positive and significant effect on the income of rice farmers in Keritang Subdistrict, the type of land has a positive and significant effect on the income of rice farmers in Keritang District, while the level of education is influential negative is not significant to the income of rice farmers in Keritang District. This shows that the increasing land area, capital and type of farming land, the farmers' income will increase. To increase income, it can be done by maximizing the rice farming land as well as possible the addition of rice farming capital and also the need for government attention to rice farming business in Keritang District in the form of venture capital assistance in the form of rice seeds, fertilizers, poisons and agricultural equipment so can increase rice production in Keritang District to the maximum and quality so that it can increase the income of rice farmers.
