Information about the value of carbon stocks is very important to study, because by knowing the value of carbon reserves of an ecosystem can describe the amount of carbon gas circulating in the air. The value of carbon stocks is also the basic data in determining the steps for managing an ecosystem. The study of carbon stocks is quite often discussed, especially in urban areas. Until now, the city of Pekanbaru has 24 city parks where data on the value of carbon stocks can be retrieved and then used as module design material on the concept of combating air pollution. Material about air pollution has become teaching material that is learned by class X even semester precisely in KD 3.11 regarding environmental change. This research was conducted in 24 city parks in Pekanbaru using the roaming method by calculating the DBH of all individual vegetation making up the city park consisting of srata saplings, poles, and trees. The results showed that the vegetation making up Pekanbaru city park has a relatively high total carbon sequestration value of 938.5 Ton ha-1. This research has important value for the high school learning process especially in environmental education material as a source of learning by linking local content such as city parks.
