Tingkat Efesiensi Produksi Pada Industri Kecil Furnitur Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was carried out in Pekanbaru City in small furniture industry units, which were examined were small furniture industry groups of wood, small furniture industries of metal and small industries of rattan furniture. This study aims to determine the level of efficiency of the use of production factors in the three small industry groups. So that it will be known what factors of production need to be done adding or reducing inputs in order to achieve efficiency.The population in this study is the small furniture industry in Pekanbaru City, where the number of samples is 88 industrial units. The independent variables used are capital, labor and raw materials, while the dependent variable is the value of production. The method of data collection is done by questionnaire. The analytical method used in this study is the Cobb-Douglas production function with the application of the Frontier Stochastic function, and Return to Scale. For wood furniture, the results of the study show that technical efficiency of wood furniture is 0.4763, price efficiency is 1.5105 and economic efficiency is 0.7194. As for the return to scale of 0.612, for furniture of metal the technical efficiency level is 0.7548, the price efficiency is -0.5754, and the economic efficiency is -0.4343. While the return to scale value is -1.44199, for furniture from rattan the level of technical efficiency is 0.9916, the price efficiency is -0.5465, and the economic efficiency is -0.4343. While the return to scale value is -0.1312, which means furniture from wood, metal and rattan is in a decreasing to scale condition. With a level of technical efficiency that is closer to 1 (one), it can be concluded that the small industry of Rattan furniture is more efficient in the use of production factors than the small industry of Wood furniture and metal furniture. In this research it is suggested that entrepreneurs can utilize the production factors that are owned proportionally in order to achieve efficiency so that the furniture industry can provide maximum benefits.
