Analisis Persepsi Konsumen Terhadap Gula Sagu Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
Regency of Kepulauan Meranti is the center of Sago in Riau Province. Sweetener among the community has long been used, ranging from natural sweetener to artificial sweetener. One of the sweetener that is still faithful to use by the community is sugar cane. Because the need for sugar increases by almost 95%, then sugar production should increases. The development of sugar production from 2013 to 2017 tends to decline due to decreased areal area. The new Sago sugar products are one of the strong reasons why this product is worth to be developed and as the development of technology becomes a safe sugar product for diabetics. Respondents were taken as many as 100 people with the method of consumer sampling in this study using Accidental Sampling technique, which is the respondent who met directly, where the samples taken are consumers who have already bought or consume sago sugar. The data analysis technique used is factor analysis using SPSS 16.0 software, consumer perception using skala likert, consumer preference using hedonic test and development strategy using analysis SWOT. The results of the analysis of the factors on sago sugar are produced five factors formed, the most dominant factor is the one factor with eigenvalue of 4,539 with variance (30,257%) and the factors on sago sugar the most dominant factor with eigenvalue of 3,234 tih variance (24,881%), where one more covers the price indicator. Results Cornbach ALPA that the question items on the Sago sugar contained in each factor is realbels.
