Eksistensi Silat Perisai Sebagai Kesenian Masyarakat Di Kabupaten Kampar

Silat Perisai is one a tradition in Kabupaten Kampar Riau Province, which is peformed to find an agreement from a race riot. Now a days, Silat Perisai becomes a performance art or entertainment. The purpose of this research is to comprehend the Silat Perisai inheritance sistem from a generatin to generation. This qualitative research uses historical method wich can explain the Silat Perisai problem whith heuristic manner, resource critics ( verivication), interpretation, and historiography. Data collecting technique which is used is observation, interview and documentation study. This research uses triangulation data analysis technique that merges all data from the result of observation, interview and docmentasi study which are interpreted basedon its context.the result of the research is the inheritance system of Silat Perisai is in affected by informal by education from family, society and customin its provenance. The inheritance isproceeded naturally to descendant of artists or non-descent by training process, appreciation, and spiritual ways. This inheritance not only educates physical skill, but also gives courage values, pride and responsible in society. These values areembedeed in Syafi’I (descent) and Yus Heri (non-descent) as the inheritors. There is a difference an between at inheritance which is proceeded to descent and non-descent, that is the existence of spiritual activity. It is because of the societyneed differenceson theirt period. Family, surrounding society, and another culture affect Silat Perisai inheritance process.
