Pengaruh Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Dan Kemiskinan Terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Di Kabupaten Siak Tahun 2008-2017

Development is one way to improve the quality of life so as to create a prosperous and prosperous society. To measure the success of development, one indicator that can be used is the Human Development Index. With the aim of this study is to analyze how the Effect of Economic Growth and Poverty on the Human Development Index in Siak Regency in 2008-2017.
This study uses an analytical method, namely multiple linear regression analysis which is assisted by an analytical tool, the SPSS version 25 program. The independent variables in this study are Economic Growth (X1) and Poverty (X2), while the dependent variable in this study is the Human Development Index (Y).
From the results of research that has been done with a confidence level of 95% or α = 5%. Through a partial regression test (t test) with a significance of 0.05 shows that the Economic Growth variable does not show a positive and insignificant effect on the Human Development Index with a significance value of 0.919 greater than 0.05, while Poverty has a negative and significant effect on the Index Human Development with a significance value of 0.043 which is smaller than 0.05. The most dominant variable in influencing the Human Development Index number is the Poverty variable. So if Economic Growth increases or decreases, it will not increase or decrease the Human Development Index in Siak Regency, while Poverty if it increases, it will decrease the Human Development Index in Siak Regency. And if poverty decreases, it will increase the Human Development Index in Siak Regency.
