Abstract This study aims to analyze the development of the oil palm weaving industry in Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. In this study, the total population of the study was all business players in the palm oil weaving industry in Pangkalan Kerinci Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency, namely 10 businesses. Sampling in this study used the census method because the population was less than 100 so that the entire population was sampled. The analytical method used is quantitative descriptive. Measurements made in this study are by using a questionnaire, the existing data is processed and analyzed using data tabulation, while to analyze it is to use Porter's analysis tools. Based on the results of the study note that the problems faced by the Industry in the development of the Weaving Palm Oil Industry in the Pangkalan Kerinci Subdistrict Pelalawan Regency is a threat described in the Porter's Five Forces, according to Porter there are several threats that become problems in business activities, namely 1) Competition between competing companies, 2 ) Potential entry of new competitors, 3) Potential development of substitute products, 4) Bargaining power of suppliers and 5) Bargaining power of consumers. However, the strongest problem is the bargaining power of suppliers of raw materials because of the unavailability of suppliers for the production needs of woven palm weaving crafts. Efforts are made to meet the needs of labor in the activities of the woven palm oil industry craft in Pangkalan Kerinci Sub-District, Pelalawan Regency by increasing the wages received by workers, using technology in production activities and implementing a daily wage system.
