The purpose of this study was to determine the level of poverty of rural communities in Rokan Hulu district by using Primary and Secondary data, using the Slovin formula to find the number of samples representing the total population in 97 respondents who represented the entire population of rural communities in Rokan Hulu Regency. Data collection was carried out using data obtained from relevant agencies and questionnaires. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative. The collected data is processed and presented in tabular form. From the results of the study show that rural communities in Rokan Hulu Regency generally have high or poor poverty rates. This is indicated by the level of income that is still low, low education, and poverty indicators that show rural communities in poor conditions
