The study of inferiority symptoms on husbands in families is to identify the characteristics of the husband those who are suspected inferiority symptoms. In addition, to obtain more how does inferiority symptoms affecting husbands on their social life. This research is located in Kelurahan Sidomulyo Barat, Kecamatan Tampan. This research is using qualitative method with descriptive analysis, that is collecting data obtained based on reality in the field through observation, interview, and documentation. The research informant consists of 4 pairs of spouses, but the research subjects only focused on husband. The theoretical framework used in this research is the theory of social change and gender. This inferior nature not only affecting the husband, but also has termendous impact on the side of the husbands’ social life. The negative impact of this inferiority phenomenon is found that the husband is insufficiently able to take responsibility for the family, the reduced interaction of the husband to their social life due to the husband often used as the subject of conversation, as a result of it the husband becomes sensitive and irritable when they are questioned to their related jobs and income. The positive impact of this inferiority symptom may provide the husbands sufficient time to educate and take care of their children, and this inferiority symptoms will generate motivation on the husband to work harder.
