Analisis Strategi Kebijakan Pengembangan Sistem Transportasi Publik Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru which aims to
analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threaths in the development
of public transportation systems in the city of Pekanbaru, as well as formulating a
policy strategy for developing the public transportation system in Pekanbaru.
Determination of respondents (key Informants) in this study using a purposive
sampling method and selected 10 respondents (key informants) from government
agencies and the police in the Pekanbaru City. The analysis used in this study is
the SWOT Analysis.
Based on SWOT analysis, the most important alternative strategy is SO
(Strengths – Opportunities), namely by utilizing the power to seize the maximum
opportunity. Policies that can be taken by the government based on SO (Strengths
– Opportunities) strategy, namely improving public transportastion modes that
are integrated with public services,increasing facilities and public transportation
stops, as well as optimizing human resources in managing public road
transportastion supported by road traffic police.
