Sport Center Di Pekanbaru Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur High Tech Charles Jencks

ABSTRACT
Pekanbaru is one of the largest economic centers in Sumatra, so there is an
increase in population activities in all fields, one of which is sports. Based on data
from the 2012-2017 Pekanbaru RPJMD, sports infrastructure in Pekanbaru is still
lacking where there are only 0.82 sports buildings per 10,000 population. With
very limited facilities to support sports activities in the city of Pekanbaru, we need
sports facilities that can accommodate a variety of sports activities. Sport Centers
can accommodate a variety of sports activities in one building function so that it
is the right solution in developing sports infrastructure in Pekanbaru. The
Architecture High Tech was chosen because it symbolizes openness to its design,
thus providing an appeal to the surrounding environment needed by the Sports
Center in eliciting the spirit of exercise. The Sport Center is expected to be a
sporting facility that is of public interest in facilitating various integrated sports
activities and can also be used as a new recreational area for the community.
