Kesiapan Guru Kimia Mengaplikasikan Keterampilan 4c Di Provinsi Riau

This study aims to determine (1) the level of readiness of chemistry teachers in
applying 4C to learning. (2) differences in the readiness of chemistry teachers in applying
4C to learning based on sex, length of service and academic qualifications (3) the
effect of chemistry teacher readiness in applying 4C to learning. The population of the
study was all high school chemistry teachers in Pekanbaru City and Pelalawan District
with a sample of 115 people. The data was collected by using probability sampling
technique (samples were taken in each region proportionally). The data was collected
through Likert scale questionnaire and supported by observation. The questionnaire
consisted of five parts, namely the demographics of respondents, aspects of knowledge
(X1), aspects of skills (X2), aspects of attitude (X3) and application (Y). Instrument
reliability level is high and very high where aspects of Cronbach's Alpha knowledge =
0.894, Cronbach’s Alpha skills = 0.959, Cronbach's Alpha attitude = 0.760 and
Cronbach's Alpha application = 0.929.
The data were analyzed descriptively using mean (average) and inferentially
using independent t test, one-way ANOVA test, simple regression analysis, and multiple
regression. The result of the study descriptively shows that (1)The level of readiness
of chemistry teachers in Pekanbaru City and Pelalawan Regency in applying 4C with
aspects of knowledge are at a moderate level mean (average) = 3.77, aspects of skills are
at a moderate level mean (average) = 3.74 and attitude aspects are at a high stage of
mean (average) = 4.05 while the application of 4C skills is at a moderate level of mean
(average) = 3.67. Overall, the readiness of chemistry teachers in Pekanbaru City and
Pelalawan Regency in applying 4C is at a moderate level with a mean (average) = 3.81.
(2) There was no significant difference in the readiness of chemistry teachers in Pekanbaru
City and Pelalawan Regency in applying 4C based on sex viewed from the aspects of
knowledge, skills and attitudes with a significance value of 2 tails of 0.260, 0.640 and
0.384> 0.05, as well as the length of service did not show any difference significant seen
from the aspects of knowledge, skills and attitudes with a significance value of 0.054, 0.517
and 0.996> 0.05, while based on academic qualifications showed a significant difference in
the aspects of knowledge and attitudes where the significance value of 2 tails are 0,000 and
0.004 < 0.05, but in aspects skills do not show a significant difference (0.062> 0.05). (3)
Partially there is a significant influence between knowledge to a pply 4C skills by
equation Ý = 53.011 + 0.182 X1, significant value = 0.017, Rsquare = 0.049, there is
a
significant influence between skills to a pply 4C skills by equation Ý = 41.423 + 0.329
X2, significant value = 0.000 Rsquare = 0.134, there is a significant influence between
attitudes to a pply 4C skills by equation Ý = 47,714 + 0.452 X3, significant value =
0.035, Rsquare = 0.039. (4) There is a significant influence of knowledge, skills and
attitudes simultaneously towards the application of 4C through the equation: Ŷ = 31.396 +
0.117 X1 + 0.288 X2 + 0.117 X3, significant value = 0.000, Rsquare = 0.159.
