Analisis Sektor Unggulan Di Kabupaten Kampar

This research was conducted in Kampar Regency Which aims to find out
the leading sectors in Kampar Regency, as well as to determine changes in the
economic structure in Kampar Regency. The research uses secondary data in the
form of time series of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) of Kampar
Regency and Riau Province in 2015-2019. The analytical tool used in this
research are: 1). Location Quotient analysis (LQ) is used to determine the base
and non-base sectors in the economy of Kampar Regency. 2). Shift share analysis
in used to determine changes and shifts in the economic structure of Kampar
Regency.
The results og the calculation of Locational Quotient analysis (LQ)
method show that the sectors in Kampar Regency whith criteria classified as the
base sector (LQ >1) are the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector, the mining
and quarrying sector and the real estate sector. The calculating result of the shift
share method shows that the sectoral component of national growth has a positive
effect on changes in PDRB, showing that in the last five years Kampar Regency,
the economic sectors that experienced the highest shift were the manufacturing
sector (proportional shift = 1.317,55), and agriculture, forestry and fisheries
sector (proportional shift = 1.120,74). Meanwhile the sectoral competitif
advantage component has a positive effect on PDRB growth. Sector the have
competitive advantages are agriculture, forestry and quarrying, manufacturing,
wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcyle repair, tranportation and
warehousing, providers of accommodation and food and drink, government
administration , defense and mandatory social security and educational services.
This can be seen from the positive differential shift value.
