Dampak Pemekaran Wilayah Kabupaten Kampar Terhadap Kinerja Pembangunan Daerah

This study aims to determine the impact of the expansion of the Kampar
Regency region on regional development. This study uses quantitative data types
and data sources used are secondary data obtained directly from official
publications from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Riau Province, Central
Statistics Agency (BPS) Regency, website, and journals related to this research.
The method used is to use a quantitative descriptive approach. This research
shows that there are positive or negative impacts of regional expansion that occur
on development performance where the positive impact is the infrastructure of
Kampar Regency, which is seen on the length of the road said to have no impact
and is even better than the previous year, the HDI of Kampar Regency has
increased each year and is better from the area divided, the percentage of poor
population that can be handled well and the low population due to population
migration. While the negative impact is that the economic growth of Kampar
Regency has an impact on the division and the inflation rate of Kampar Regency
is higher than the region that was expanded.
