Analisis Sektor Basis Di Wilayah Riau Pesisir

This study aims to determine the role of the base sector in the ecomomy in
the Riau Coast region and determine the sectors that experience chages and
growth in the Riau Coast region in the year using the Location Question method
and the Shift Share method. This study uses secondary data in the form of time
series from the Gross Regional Domestic product (PDRB) of Regency / City and
Riau province in 2015-2019.
This study consist of three variables: Gross Regional Domestic product,
Economic sector and Sector Base. The result of the Location Question analysis
show that there are sixteen economic sectors which are the basic sectors in the
Coastal Riau Regioan and the mining and quarrying sector, the manufacturing
sector, the tranpostasi and arehousing sector and the government adminsitrasi
sector.The result of the Shift Share analysis showed Bengkalis Regency. Rokan
Hilir Regency and Kepulauan Meranti Regency to depend on the economy in the
pimary sector, while Indragiri Hilir Regency, Pelalawan Regency, Siak Regency
and Dumai City that the had to the economic structure of the area dominated by
the secondary sector.
