Gambaran Eritrosit Ikan Lele Dumbo (Clarias Gariepinus) Yang Terinfeksi Aeromonas Hydrophila Dan Diobati Dengan Larutan Daun Salam (Syzygium Polyantha)
Bay leaf (Syzygium polyantha) have antibacterial compounds such as flavonoids,
essential oils, tanins, vitamin C and minerals. The purpose of this study was to
analyze blood picture and obtain the best dose of bay leaf solution to cure the
Clarias gariepinus that was infected with Aeromonas hydrophila. The metdhod
used was an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD),
one factor with five treatments. The treatment were applied was KN (without
immersed with bay leaf solution and not infected with A. hydrophila), KP
(without immersed with bay leaf solution and infected with A. hydrophila), P1
(immersed the bay leaf solution with dose 1000 ppm), P2 (immersed the bay leaf
solution with dose 1100 ppm), P3 (immersed the bay leaf solution with dose 1200
ppm). The fish were cure by immersing with bay leaf solution for 5 minutes. The
results shown that bay leaf solution is able to cure the Clarias gariepinus that
infected with A. hydrophila. The best dose was by using 1200 ppm. Total
erythrocytes was 244 x 106 sel/mm3, hemoglobin level was 1167 g/dL, hematocrit
level was 3433% and the survival rate was 96,67%. Water quality was
temperature (27,3-28,0 °C), pH (6,5-6,8), DO (3,4-4,2 mg/L) and ammonia (0,01-
0,02 mg/L).
