Analisis Keselamatan Kerja Pada Pekerja Di Lingkungan Minas Gas Turbine (MGT) Pt. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI), Minas
Human resources play an important role for the success of an
organization or company, because humans are living assets that need special
attention. In managing human resources, it is necessary to have management
capable of managing resources systematically, planned, and efficiently, namely
the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) which is
required by the government for companies with approximately 100 employees.
Worker safety is a factor that is very concerned about in the oil and gas
industry, as well as at PT. Chevon Pacific Indonesia (CPI). To reduce work
accidents, in 2007 PT. CPI enforces a safe work program for all employees,
namely a Behavior Based Safety program. However, even though several efforts
and work safety programs have been made mandatory, work accidents and Motor
Vehicle Crashes (MVC) still occur.
Minas Gas Turbine (MGT) under the PGT department also contributes to
work accidents although the overall percentage is quite small. The research was
conducted at MGT with the initial hypothesis, it is suspected that a Safe Work
Culture, Worker Competence, Work Safety Procedures and Regulations,
Management Commitment and Work Environment affect the level of Work Safety
of the Minas Gas Turbine (MGT) employees of PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia,
Minas. The research was conducted from October 2019 to June 2020 with
analysis and survey methods with a population of 88 people. The data analysis
used was descriptive statistics, spearman rank analysis and nonparametric
regression. To determine the Socio-Economic Impact of the Community, direct
and random interviews were conducted.
Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, several conclusions
can be drawn. First, there is an influence between a Safe Work Culture, Worker
Competence, Work Safety Procedures and Regulations, Management Commitment
and Work Environment to Employee Safety in the Minas Gas Turbine section of
PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia in Minas. Second, from the socio-economic level
of the community, the existence of the Work Safety program in MGT directly and
indirectly provides moral and material benefits. The community feels safe,
protected and can focus on working at MGT as a source of their economic
income. There are several conclusions from this study. First, Work Safety
Procedures and Regulations are variables that have a very strong influence on
Employee Safety. Second, the variables of Safe Work Culture, Worker
Competence, Management Commitment and Work Environment really need
special attention by the Project Management Team (PMT) in MGT. Third, to
prevent fatal accidents, it is recommended that routine agendas such as safety
meetings be carried out because they are an important part of the Work Safety
program. And no less important, existing employees are still given training
(training) related to HSE.
