Pengaruh Aktivasi Dengan Naoh Terhadap Spent Mushroom Substrate (Sms) Sebagai Biosorben Logam Cu2+
The Adsorption Process Of Artificial Cu2+ Aqueous Solution Was Investigated By
Using Biosorbents Made From Spent Mushroom Substrate (SMS). SMS Is One Of The
Most Organic Waste Generated From Agricultural Waste That Contain Lignocellulose.
This Study Aims To Determine The Size Of The Surface Area And Iodine Number Of
SMS Without Activation And With Activation Using Sodium Hydroxide (Naoh) With
A Concentration Variation Of 0.1%; 0.2% And 0.3% And The Contact Time Of
Activation Is 2 Hours; 4 Hours And 6 Hours. Compared With Activated Biosorbents,
The Best Treatment Was Obtained On Biosorbents Without Activation Which Resulted
In An Iodine Number In SMS Of 441 Mg / G And A Surface Area Of 836.62 M2 / G.
The Allowance Made By SMS In Reducing Cu2+ Metal With An Initial Concentration
Of 20 Mg/L With The Highest Efficiency Value Of 98.90% Was Obtained At The
Optimum Mass Of 1 G. Based On The Results Of FTIR, SMS Activated By Naoh
Occurs In The Breakdown Of Functional Groups That Can Affect The Absorption Of
Biosorbents That Affect The Absorption Of Metal Ions, Causing A Decrease In
Efficiency. Keywords : Biosorption, Spent Mushroom Substrate (SMS), Cu2+, Naoh
