This study aims to determine the value of the desire to pay the public for clean
water in the Eastern Bagan Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency and the
factors that influence it. The population in this study is the entire number of family
heads who are in the Eastern District of Bagan in Bangko District, Bagan Siapiapi
City, which amounted to 2.347 households. While the sampling is done by purposive
sampling with the condition that they are adults, have income, have lived or settled
for at least 5 years and are physically, mentally healthy and able to communicate
well. To determine the number of samples, Frank Lynch's formula is used, so that a
total sample of 42 people is obtained. The data analysis method used is multiple
linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. Obtained research results that
willingness to pay for clean water in the Eastern Bagan Village Bangko District
Rokan Hilir Regency is Rp. 240.48 / liter or Rp. 240,480 / m3. The average
consumption of the people of Bagan Timur Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir
Regency per month is 2-3m3, so it can be estimated that the average amount that must
be spent by the community to get clean water is Rp. 480.960 to Rp. 721.440 per
month. Income factors and the number of dependents are two factors that can
influence willingness to pay or the availability of the community to pay for clean
water in Bagan Timur Village, Bangko Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir Regency. Meanwhile,
the factor that is over and the price of clean water does not affect the availability of
the community to pay.
