Kemampuan Imago (Oryctes Rhinoceros L.) Terinfeksi Baculovirus Oryctesmenularkan Virus Ke Imago Sehat

ABSTRACT
Oryctes rhinoceros L. Is a pest that attack the palm oil plant. Pest
control strategies which are often carried out are chemicals, namely synthetic
pesticides. The recommended control concept is integrated pest
management (IPM) which is preferred to environtmentally friendly control one
of using entomopatogen Baculovirus oryctes. The aim of this research was to
find out from abilities of Oryctes rhinoceros infected Baculovirus oryctes passed
the virus into the others. This research was conducted at the Plant Pest
Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University from May to August 2019.
The research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized
design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment used is a pair of
imago infected Baculovirus oryctes , two pair of imago infected Baculovirus
oryctes, three pair of imago infected Baculovirus oryctes, four pair of imago
infected Baculovirus oryctes and five pair of imago infected Baculovirus oryctes
with concentration 70 ml. 500 ml-1 water (4,9 x10-3 PIBs/ml). The treatment
of the four pair imago infected Baculovirus oryctes has greater tendency to
transmit the virus to another imago ,with cause a total mortality of 96,67%,
with an initial death of 156 hours after application, Lethal time 50 320 hours
after application and the ability to transmit a virus that has infected symptoms
of 5,6 tail.
