During the Joko Widodo administration, Indonesia showed a tendency towards economic development, seeing that the majority of the President's policies were more economically oriented. The focus of the author is to explain how the cooperation between Indonesia and the United States in eradicating terrorism in Indonesia during the first period of President Joko Widodo administration (2014-2019).
The author uses qualitative explanation methods and data obtained from books, journals, reports, working papers, internet sites and other sources related to research.
This research shows that Indonesia under the leadership of President Joko Widodo continues to maintain state security by continuing previous cooperation programs to reduce the radicalism of the ideology of terrorism. Indonesia has an interest in cooperating with the United States who organizing the campaign to eradicate terrorism int the first place in order to get training assistance.
