Pengaruh Kompetensi Pedagogik Dan Kreativitas Guru Terhadap Kinerja Guru Prakarya Dan Kewirausahaan SMA Negeri Dan Swasta Sekota Pekanbaru
The teacher is one of the professions that has the authority to educate
students. Teachers must have good qualifications and competencies so that efforts
to improve the learning environment can change the behavior of students to be
more effective and efficient. According to Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning
Teachers and Lecturers, competence is a set of knowledge, skills, and behaviors
that teachers or lecturers must possess, live and master in carrying out their
professional duties.
Teachers as implementers in the educational process are required to be
more creative so that changes in learning occur in accordance with developments
in science, information and technology. The first challenge that demands teacher
creativity is the implementation of the National Education System Law Number 20
of 2003 with the existence of government policies that always make curriculum
changes. The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to be able to develop a balance
between developing spiritual and social attitudes, curiosity, creativity,
cooperation with intellectual and psychomotor abilities in students.
In the 2013 curriculum, there are PKWU lessons that must be
implemented by the education unit. PKWU has an important role in developing
student potential in the process of preparing for the future. PKWU lessons have
four material aspects, namely; craft, engineering, cultivation, and processing.
Craft and Entrepreneurship subjects at the high school level are classified as
knowledge and life skills training based on arts, technology, and economics,
which provide various skills. Teachers who have high creativity will stimulate the
emergence of student creativity, because basically creativity is also determined by
a supportive environment. Thus, the national education goals that have been set
can be realized immediately .
Performance is an achievement achieved by a person in carrying out his
duties or work for a certain period of time in accordance with the standards and
criteria that have been set for the job. To show high performance, teachers must
have mastery of what material is taught and how to teach it so that learning can
take place effectively and efficiently and have a commitment to carry out the task.
Based on the above background, in this case the researcher formulates the
following problems: 1) Is there a significant influence between pedagogical
competence on the performance of PKWU teachers in State and Private High
Schools in Pekanbaru City ?. 2) Is there a significant influence between teacher
creativity on the performance of PKWU public and private SMA teachers in
Pekanbaru city? 3) Is there a significant influence between pedagogical
competence and teacher creativity on the performance of PKWU public and
private SMA teachers in Pekanbaru city?
To answer the problem formulation above, this study aims to prove that
there is a significant influence between the independent variables on the
dependent variable, namely how much influence the pedagogical competence and
xiv
creativity of teachers have on the performance of PKWU public and private SMA
teachers in Pekanbaru city. This study uses quantitative research methods with
survey design using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The population of
this study was 197 high school teachers who taught PKWU subjects in
Pekanbaru. The sampling technique used was random sampling with a sample
size of 138 people. The data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis and
inferential statistical analysis. Hypothesis testing with simple linear regression
analysis and multiple linear regression, first performed the analysis requirements
test, namely the normality test, multicollinearity test and linearity test.
Based on the results of research and data processing, it can be concluded
that first, pedagogic competence (X1) has a positive and partially significant
effect on the performance of public and private high school PKWU teachers in
Pekanbaru. The magnitude of the influence of pedagogic competence (X1) on
PKWU teacher performance (Y) is 51.5% in the moderate category. Both teacher
creativity (X2) have a positive and partially significant effect on the performance
of PKWU teachers in public and private high schools in Pekanbaru City (Y). The
magnitude of the influence of teacher creativity (X2) on PKWU Teacher
Performance (Y) is 45.1%. In the medium category. The three variables influence
pedagogic competence (X1) and teacher creativity (X2) together on the
performance of PKWU teachers (Y) by 53.6%. Thus the influence of the
pedagogic competence variable (X1) and teacher performance (X2) on the
performance of PKWU teachers (Y) is in a moderate interpretation. Suggestions
from this research are to form the Workshop and Entrepreneurship Subject
Teacher Conference (MGMP) in high school education units to establish
communication and provide information about PKWU materials so that they can
improve PKWU teacher performance, need individual skills training, through
seminars, workshops made by the government or other institutions specifically to
increase teacher creativity in craft and entrepreneurship learning to improve the
performance of PKWU teachers better, PKWU teachers must be able to improve
their ability to use other learning resources.
