Interpretasi Energi Panas Bumi Menggunakan Metode Geolistrik Konfigurasi Dipole-Dipole Dan Metode Geokimia Di Desa Pawan, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu
Pawan, a district located in the Sumtera back arc basin, possesses a potential
indicated by appearance of hot springs. Pawan geothermal prospect is rarely
studied. Hence, there was conducted a research to determine the type of fluids and
the temperature of geothermal reservoir, and analyze the distribution pattern of
geothermal energy of hot water sources.
The research in Pawan geothermal field was carried out using geoelectrical
and geotermal methods. Resistivity geoelectrical research used the Dipole-dipole
configuration was done in five lines with length is 108 meters, 78 meters, 78
meters, 78 meters and 102 meters. The length of the track varies because of the
location of the study there are many buildings that become tourist attractions so
the limited length of the track made. Geochemical geothermal surveys pass
through several stages of surveying in sampling, namely pralapangan survey, field
survey, and laboratory analysis.
Research result showed that structure of the subsurface layer in Pawan
geothermal manifestation consist of Lanau, Sandstone and Meta Sediments. Line
1 to Line 4 obtained the distribution of hot water manifestations at a depth of
about 2.61 meters - 5.12 meters with resistivity values of 2.6 μm - 10.4 μm found
in the silt layer of soft wet silt. The distribution pattern of the manifestation of hot
water in the study area is an outflow flow where this research area has a fault zone
that controls the manifestation of geothermal heat and the direction of this flow is
the direction of the west direction of the river flow. Estimation of reservoir
temperatures using the geoindicator Na-K-Mg hot springs in the study area is in
immature waters. Fluid reservoir type in the study area is bicarbonate water type.
