Ramalan Jumlah Pengunjung Perpustakaan Universitas Riau Menggunakan Metode Dekomposisi
Riau University Library has a number of visitors that vary each year. The uncertainty of the number of visitors within a year and the inadequate infrastructure at the Riau University Library, it is necessary to have a system to forecast the number of visitors each year to improve facilities and services. This thesis describes the process of predicting the number of visitors to the Riau University Library using the Decomposition Method. The research was conducted with the stages of data needs analysis, data collection and prediction using the decomposition method. In the decomposition method, there are four calculation stages in the decomposition method, namely finding the value of Trend, Seasonal Index, and Cyclic Variation, and the error value. In the system design stage, there are four diagrams used, namely Use Case, Class Diagram, Activity Diagram, and Sequence Diagram. Manual calculations and system testing were carried out where the first quarter amounted to 34872.35, the second quarter amounted to 27257.08, the third quarter amounted to 21996.49, and the fourth quarter amounted to 62728.58 with a comparison of the error value of 68925612. So that the resulting forecast can be said to be valid.
