Pengelolaan Ekowisata Mangrove Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Di Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak

abstract
Mangrove area in the Rawa Mekar Jaya Village has been used for a local wisdom
based ecotourism area. To understand the local wisdom based management
applied and the feasibility of the ecotourism destination area, a study has been
conducted on June to July 2019. Information obtained in this study are the quality
of water from the tourism area, the feasibility index value, and local wisdom
applied in managing the ecotourism activities. Water samples were taken from
three stations, while the local wisdom and ecotourism data were collected through
interviews and questionnaires. Results shown that the community maintains the
mangrove ecosystems by enforcing people to avoid cutting the mangroves trees in
the conservation areas. Water quality parameters in this area are as follows:
temperature 28-29oc, depth 2-6 m, current speed 0.11-0.41m, dissolved oxygen
4.18-5.04 mg / L, and pH 6-7. The value of the feasibility index were as follows:
attractiveness 1.11, accessibility 500, accommodation 75, visitor infrastructure
150, with total value 1.84. This value indicates that the Rawa Mekar Jaya
Ecotourism can be categorized as appropriate for ecotourism objects.
