Pengaruh Penggunaan Chlorella Sp. Untuk Menurunkan Kadar Bod Dan Cod Pada Limbah Cair Pembesaran Ikan Patin Budidaya Sistem Intensif
Abstract
In the biofloc system intensive aquaculture, the waste was removed everyday.
The waste contains high concentration of BOD and COD. Effort in reducing those
organic matters can be done by using Chlorella sp. A study aims to determine the
effectiveness of Chlorella sp. in decreasing BOD and COD concentration in the
waste was conducted in August 2019. There was a CRD method with 4 treatments,
namely the addition of 0 ml (control); 1 ml (P1); 10 ml (P2); 100 ml (P3) and 1000
ml (P4) of Chlorella sp. in 4 liters of water. BOD and COD concentration in the
water were checked in the 1st, 4th and 7th days. Results shown that the BOD increased
was in the P1 at the 7th day of 15.31 mg/L, while that of the COD in the P1 at the 7th
day of 27.73 mg/L. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that Chlorella sp.
was not able to decrease BOD and COD content in the waste water originated from
the biofloc system intensive aquacultre.
