Hubungan Panjang Berat Dan Faktor Kondisi Ikan Gabus (Channa Striata Bloch, 1793) Di Danau Teluk Petai Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
ABTRACT
Channa striata is one of the freshwater fishes that inhabit the Teluk Petai Lake.
This study aimed to determine the length-weight relationship and to evaluate the
condition factor of snakehead in Teluk Petai Lake. The fish collection was carried
out monthly from August to October 2020. Fish samples were captured using
bubu, long line, and fishing rod. A total of 110 fish consists of 63 males and
47 females. The total length of males and females fish ranged from 172 to
500 mm and 194 to 480 mm with body weight ranged from 41 to 1.402 g, 68 to
1.173 g, respectively. The length-weight relationship was W=5×10-6 L3,1001
(males and females), W=6×10-6 L3,0580 (males), W=5×10-6 L3,1044 (females) and
the condition factor ranged from 0,7033 to 1,6639 (males), 0,6203 to 1,3619
(females). These results indicate that the growth pattern of fish was positive
allometric and the condition of males fish was better than females. The water
quality parameter of the Teluk Petai Lake are as follows: temperature 29-31ºC,
transparency 72,5-99 cm, depth 6,2-8,5 m, pH 5, DO 3,6-5,2 mg/L and CO2
16-24 mg/L.
