Fluktuasi Mingguan Kelimpahan Fitoplankton Di Waduk Pangean Kecamatan Pangean Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau

Abstract
Research on the weekly fluctuation of phytoplankton abundance was carried out
in July-August 2019 at the Pangean Reservoir. The aim of this study was to know
the weekly fluctuation of phytoplankton abundance either spatial or temporal in
Pangean Reservoir. There are 4 stations, namely station 1 (around the inlet),
station 2 (around cultivation activities), station 3 (around rubber plant), and
station 4. At each station there are 2 sampling points, namely the surface and in 2
Secchi depth. Sampling was carried out 4 times, once/week. The results shown
that temperature was 29-31 oC, transparency 90-102 cm, pH 5, DO 3.8-6.8 mg/L,
CO2 : 5.99-13.99 mg/L, nitrate : 0.0112-0.0679 mg/L, phosphate : 0.0314-0.0715
mg/L. The abundance of phytoplankton at the surface ranged : 749,133-1,759,328
cells/L, and at 2 Secchi depth : 565,354-1,192,651 cells/L. Phytoplankton
dynamics temporally or spatially was influenced by water quality dynamics
mainly transparency, nitrate and phosphate concentrations.
