Studi Hasil Tangkapan Purse Seine Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga Provinsi Sumatera Utara
ABSTRACT
The potential of marine resources and sibolga fishery is a considerable
economic potential, purse seine is a fishing tool used by sibolga fishermen because it
has a fairly diverse composition of catch production during the two years 2017 to
2018 reached 58,113.24 tons with a total of 31,278.66 tons of catch in 2017 and a
side catch of 785.52 tons, while in 2018 the main catch amounted to 24,634 tons and
side by side 1,415.06 tons, but in conducting an arrest operation whether it has
obtained the catch optimally. This study aims to determine the catch of purse seine
based on the main and side catches and to know the pattern of the season. The
method used by direct survey method which includes primary and secondary data
consisting of logbook data for the last 2 years of 2017-2018 obtained from the fishing
port of Sibolga archipelago. The main catches such as the caulige (Katsuwanus
pelamis) of the catch season occurred in transition I and transition II, madidihang
(Thunnus albacores) occurs in the Western season, cob (Euthynnus affanis) occurs in
transition I and east east season, tengke (Megalaspis cordial) occurs in East and
West season, lemuru (Sardinella) occurs in transitional season II and Eastern season,
and lisong (Auxis rocheii) occurs in transition I, while the catch of the catch season
such as the sunglir fish (Elagatis bipinulata) occurs in the Western season and
transition I, bloating (Rastralagger) occurs in the second transitional season and the
Eastern season, pompano (Caranx ignobilis), selar (Selaroides leptolepis), sailfish
(Istiophorus oriantalis) occurs in the Western season.
