Tingkat Kepatuhan Dan Persepsi Nelayan Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau Terhadap Pengelolaan Perikanan Tangkap Yang Berkelanjutan

ABSTRAK
This researh was implemented in Kepulauan Meranti Regency especially in Rangsang
Pesisir, Rangsang Barat and Tasik Putri Puyu districts. The purpose of research were
to know the compliance and perception of the criteria for environmentally friendy
fishing gear as well as the perseption of the fish resources existence owned by
fishermen in the Kepulauan Meranti Regency. The government has made effors to carry
out a sustainable mission according to The Ministry Of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries
by issuing several regulations but some fishermen still have not responded well, seen
from fishermen who don’t have fishing permit document and violate fishing routes and
use fishing tools that are prohibited by government. The results show that fishermen
with longline fishing gear have the highest compliance of 2,07 and fishermen with
pushnet fishing gear have the lowest compliance of 1,37. Pushnet fishermen rated the
cirteria for fishing gear that was environtmentally firendly to be the highest and fishnet
fishermen rated the existence of fish resources with the highest score of 2,71. There is
a very low correlation between fishermen’s perception of yhe cirteria for
environmentally friendly fishing gear and the existence of fish resources on
compliance.
