Penggunaan Profil Regenerasi Resin Kation Sebagai Alat Untuk Membandingkan Performance Strong Acid Cation Di Demin Plant Pt Rapp

ABSTRACT
The Demin Plant produces pure mineral-free water which is used as boiler feed
water. One of the units in the Demin Plant is strong acid cation (SAC) to remove
cation ions using Dowex HCR-S cation resin. At certain times, this resin will be
saturated so that it needs to be regenerated. The effective regeneration of the resin
is an important aspect to ensure optimal performance of the ion exchange process.
The regeneration profile is used to ensure it has regeneration and to optimize the
regeneration process at PT RAPP. To obtain profile regeneration resin, several
analyzes were carried out on water before and after the resin regeneration process
was carried out at SAC #2 and SAC #3. The parameters measured were
conductivity measurements, regenerant concentration of cation ion exchange resin,
total hardness content (Ca hardness and Mg hardness), sodium and potassium
levels. The results of the analysis show that the conductivity value of water at the
time of displacement of 75 minutes at SAC #2 and SAC #3 has a very good results,
it is obtained with a conductivity
