Resolusi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (Pbb) Dalam Penyelesaian Konflik Internal Di Libya Tahun 2011-2020
Since the overthrow of the Muammar Qaddafi regime in 2011 Libya has
experienced a government vacuum and is trying to make a political transition. The
political transition in Libya was led by the NTC, chaired by Mustafa Abdul Jalil.
The goal of the NTC is to shape Libyan politics to become democratic. July 7, 2012
Libyans hold general elections for the first time since the Libyan revolution. The
general election was held to elect members of the council or the General National
Congress (GNC) as an effort to create a new political system after the fall of
Muammar Gaddafi. In 2014 the GNC was led by Nouri Abusahmain who
unilaterally his term of office so that protests from the military commanded by
General Khalifa Haftar. Then carrying out a military operation called Operation
Dignity, this condition then caused the conflict in Libya to heat up again, so it
needed an international role and organization, namely the United Nations (UN) in
one way that made resolutions and other preventive and persuasive efforts. .
Therefore, this thesis aims to see and analyze the United Nations (UN) in resolving
the Internal conflict in Libya.
The research method used in this scientific paper is the method of data
analysis through literature research and descriptive qualitative data analysis
methods (guided by references or credible data) with domestic or country level
analysis.
From the results of data collection and analysis of research data it can be
concluded that in an effort to resolve the internal Libyan conflict, the UN through
the UN Security Council, UNSMIL, DPPA, UNDP is taking a political approach as
an intervention to improve Libya's condition, several important resolutions were
drawn up by the UN through meetings, conferences and dialogues both inside and
outside Libya, all resolutions drafted and adopted by the UN Security Council are
steps to form a more legitimate and stable Libyan government in terms of political,
economic and social, many steps -steps set out in the UNSC resolutions such as an
arms embargo, economic stability, security and peace, human rights issues and the
stabilization of the Libyan government.
