Analisis Dampak Dodd-Frank ACT 1502 Terhadap Upaya Bina Damai Konflik Di Kongo Tahun 2010 – 2018
Prior to this research is to analyze the impact of Dodd Frank Act 1502 towards the long and extreme conflict in Republic Democratic Congo. The objective of Dodd Frank Act is to break the link between Coltan and Conflict. Companies should traces the flow of Coltans they used from mines to markets.
This research use Economic Theory of Peace and Transforming the War Economy towards a Peaceful Economy to see the economic initiatives can successfully resolve conflict and create peace.
The effectiveness of the Dodd Frank Act 1502 has been proven by the several result including: raising concern of the companies and international community in supply chains related in conflict minerals, 60% multi-national companies in US commited to the Dodd-Frank Act 1502 in 2015, total 192 from 300 companies registered in US were declared as “free minerals conflict”as it passed the SEC audits in US. Adoption of the Dodd-Frank Act by the U,S, Congress in 2010 resulted in an upsurge of international initiatives to make trade in conflict minerals transparent and prevent it from financing the warmongers behind the troubles in eastern DRC.
