Strategi Pengelolaan DAS Siak Yang Berkelanjutan
Based on spatial planning perspective, there is a relationship between spatial
development and increasing population and its activities. These developments along the
Siak Watershed are relatively fast, will have an impact on land use changes, resulting in
reduced green open land, which functions as a groundwater storage area. The research
objectives are; 1. Analyzing the Ecological, Socio-Economic Conditions in the Siak
Watershed Area; 2. Analyzing the Impact of Resource Utilization in the Siak Watershed
Area; 3. Develop a Management Strategy of Sustainable Siak Watershed. The research
method used is a mixed method between quantitative and qualitative, analysis of
ecological conditions, socio-economics is carried out using the Minister of Forestry
Regulation No.P.61/Menhut-II/2014 concerning Monitoring and Evaluation of
Watershed Management. Impact analysis of resource utilization in watershed areas is
carried out by testing the ecological and socio-economic parameters that have been
analyzed for the first objective, primary and secondary data taken from related sources,
and questionnaires on a predetermined sample. The results of the first and second
objectives were analyzed to create a management strategy of sustainable Siak Watershed.
The formulation of a sustainable Siak watershed uses a SWOT analysis. Data collection
was carried out in the Siak Watershed which includes Rokan Hulu Regency, Kampar
Regency, Pekanbaru City, Siak Regency and Bengkalis Regency. The research results
are; The carrying capacity of the Siak Watershed is 100.50, referring to the Minister of
Forestry Regulation No. P.61/Menhut-II/2014 is included in the medium category.
Impact of utilization of resources in the Siak Watershed Area, the ecological impact has
the potential to flood more than 80.99%. water quality, BOD, COD and TSS have passed
the quality standard. Riverbank abrasion averages 1.6 m/year, even at certain locations
it reaches 7.3 m/year. Sedimentation has reached 8 m/year. Social impact, concern, high
awareness and participation in the management of the Siak Watershed, because the Siak
Watershed has a positive (very good) social impact on the surrounding community.
Economic impact, the Siak River has enormous benefits for the economic life of the
community. Management Strategy of Sustainable Siak Watershed is; Optimization of
Siak Watershed Institutional Management; Restoring the Ecological Function of the Siak
Watershed; Monitoring and Evaluation of the Siak Watershed.
