Pengaruh Kegiataan Pengolahan Tepung Sagu Terhadap Pendapatan Nelayan Di Desa Mekarsari Kecamatan Merbau Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

This study aims to determine the effect of sago flour processing activities
on fishermen's income in Mekar Sari Village, Merbau Sub-District.
Sampling was done by random sampling method, that is, sampling is done
randomly without looking at the cluster with a total sample of 46 samples. The
analysis method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and the analytical
tool used is the sign test by looking at the data before and after the existence of
processing sago starch on the effect of the amount of fish catch, the selling price
of fish, the cost of fishing gear, the cost of ship fuel, the length of operation. , and
operating distance.
The results showed that the existence of sago flour processing activities
had an effect on the income of fishermen in Mekar Sari Village, Merbau Sub-
District. The number of fish catches and the selling price of fish decreased after
the processing of sago flour, while the cost of fishing gear, fuel costs for ships,
length of operation, and operating distance increased after sago starch
processing activities took place in Mekar Sari Village, Merbau Sub-District.
Based on the calculation of the net income obtained by fishermen before the sago
flour processing activity is Rp. 422.981.4352/ month, while the net income earned
by fishermen after the processing of sago flour decreased to Rp. 315.194.7180/
month.
